Y STORM
Back in 2024, Emma and Lucy played one of their first gigs in a small tent at the Cardigan Craft Festival. Amidst a variety of covers, they included a few original songs, sharing piano and guitar duties. Two years later, the pair are fronting the band Chwaer. Their mature lyrics and epic sound, combined with confident performances, make it hard to believe they are still school students. The band will be performing several times around the week of the Eisteddfod, including a notable slot on the Maes Stage. We are very proud to be part of Emma and Lucy’s journey and are incredibly excited about this EP, Y Storm (the storm)—a record that carries heartbreak throughout yet never feels sad. There is a genuine intensity in the sisters’ voices that is so characteristic of who they are as people.
